This page explains what data icelandroutes.com collects when you browse, sign up for emails or click through to a rental partner — and how to ask us about it. Data controller: Iceland Routes. Privacy contact: office@icelandroutes.com.
Email signup
When a visitor submits the email form, the server validates and stores the email address, page source and any supplied campaign fields in a Supabase table. The browser never receives the Supabase service key. A new subscriber may receive one welcome email through Resend; an already-subscribed address is not inserted twice. You can unsubscribe at any time by replying "unsubscribe" to any email from us or writing to office@icelandroutes.com — we then remove your subscriber record.
Outbound partner clicks
Links to campervan partners pass through a site redirect. The redirect can record the partner identifier, originating page, campaign fields and click time in Supabase. It does not record a visitor's email in the click table. Logging runs after the redirect response and a logging failure does not stop the visitor reaching the partner.
Embedded Northbound comparison
The campervan search and comparison pages embed a pricing widget from Northbound. The widget and its script load only after you choose to load them; that choice is stored in your browser (localStorage) so you are not asked again, and clearing your browser data resets it. Once loaded, Northbound may set cookies and process technical information and the search details entered into its widget under its privacy policy. The widget uses affiliate identifier 4984, and a completed booking may generate commission for Iceland Routes. This site sets no cookies of its own.
Interactive Ring Road map
The seven-day Ring Road page loads an interactive map from Mapbox only when the map approaches the visible page. Mapbox receives the technical requests required to provide map styles, satellite imagery, terrain, labels and map tiles. Iceland Routes does not send subscriber email addresses, affiliate click records, campervan recommendations or cost-calculator inputs to Mapbox. Read Mapbox's privacy policy.
Server records
The hosting platform, Supabase and Resend may create operational records needed to deliver requests, store subscriptions and send the welcome email.
Vercel Web Analytics
This site uses Vercel Web Analytics to count page views and understand aggregate traffic. According to Vercel, this service stores anonymized data and does not use cookies. Read Vercel's Web Analytics privacy information.
Access and deletion
You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your data — including your email subscription — by emailing office@icelandroutes.com. Subscriber records are kept until you unsubscribe or ask for deletion. If you are in the EU or EEA, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority.
